Location and Transportation
Travel by Land
Ground transportation to and from either airport (Puerto Vallarta airport or Manzanillo Airport) can be provided by the hotel staff. All transfers arranged by Las Alamandas include an airport greeter and personal assistance by a hotel staff member.
Travel by Air
The resort also features its own asphalt Runway (3,300 feet in length) capable of accommodating small aircrafts such as a Lear jet 28, King Air turbo prop, etc. Landing arrangements must be made in advance though the reservations office at the time of booking.
Chauffeured
Las Alamandas contact an outside company for all airport transfers due to airport regulations. The price for an air-conditioned car (maximum of 6 passengers) is $250 U.S. each way plus 16% tax and 10% service (valid until December 31st 2010). Other options are available including rental cars and licensed taxis. If you choose to drive, Las Alamandas is indicated by a road sign from the MEX South. Once at Las Alamandas, hourly car tours of the region are available through the use of Las Alamandas vehicles at a rate of $75 U.S. plus tax.
LAS ALAMANDAS’ AIRSTRIP
The resort features a private tarmac landing strip, capable of accommodating for example a Grumman 1, Cessna, Grand Caravan, ATR-42-300. (Jets are not recommended to land at our landing strip).

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. Arrangements by land must be made in advance through our reservations office at the time of booking.
2. Be sure not to confuse it with Chamela’s airstrip which is close by, but out of service.
3. Whenever flying Puerto Vallarta or Manzanillo airport, please inform the Control Tower that you will land at Las Alamandas’s airstrip.
4. Customs must be cleared in either Puerto Vallarta or Manzanillo airport.
5. Landing and take-off should be made during daylight. (6:00 hrs. / 18:00 hrs.)
6. The airstrip is suitable for planes up to 7,600 kilos (16,900 Lbs.)
DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS PUERTO VALLARTA AIRPORT TO "LAS ALAMANDAS"
Las Alamandas is an approximate two hour drive, south from the Puerto Vallarta Airport.
From Puerto Vallarta to Las Alamandas:
1.Take MEX 200 South. You will go through several towns including El Tuito, Piloto, Campo Acosta and José Ma. Morelos (Approx. 157 kms.)
2. After you pass through José Ma. Morelos, you will reach the San Nicolás River Bridge.
3. Cross the bridge and after a mile,you will see a sign for QUEMARO.Turn right and follow this dirt road until you go through the end of the village then you will see the main plaza on the right hand side, there you make a left turn and continue on this road
4. Drive half a mile and you will come to the entry gates for "Las Alamandas".
MANZANILLO AIRPORT TO ""
Las Alamandas is an approximate one hour and thirty minutes drive, north from Manzanillo,
From Manzanillo to :
1. Take MEX 200 North towards Puerto Vallarta.
2. You will pass through the town of Cihuatlán and see a sign for Barra de Navidad - Puerto Vallarta. Stay on road MEX 200, direction Puerto Vallarta.
3. You will pass through the towns of Zapata, Careyes, Chamela and Mezcales.
4. Stay on this road, pass Mezcales and after approx. 7 kms. You will see the sign for the town of QUEMARO (km. 83). Turn left and follow this dirt road. 5. Follow this dirt road until you go through the village of QUEMARO. At the end of the village you will see the main plaza on the right hand side, there you make a left turn and continue on this road. 6. Drive half a mile and you will come to the entry gates for "Las Alamandas".
